Hi, I'm Kat

For as long as I can remember I've taken photos. I was the child that recorded the Danoz Direct ad on VHS to ask Santa for the comically small camera. It arrived no bigger than my tiny hands and with pixels to match.

I was the kid that printed a disposable camera's with of photos at least once a month (thanks Big W 2c prints!).

The teen with her face (but very importantly not neck) caked in Maybelline dream mousse with the hot pink digital camera around my wrist at every party, every event. The one that diligently 'documented' the entire night, adjusted the photos in Microsoft Word's Pictures tab and uploaded the entire folder to Myspace.

The adult that still can't bring myself to throw out the sepia toned trail of how my passion built.

And so I buy another hard drive, a bigger storage box and I submit to another iCloud upgrade.

I bought my first "real" camera in 2013 and started photography lessons. I taught myself to edit and pestered my friends to let me capture their growing families.

I felt a pang of jealousy every time someone introduced themselves as 'photographer'. And so in 2022 I finally decided to take the plunge, moving away from the corporate world and into the creative.

I adore meeting new families, being invited into their lives to hear their stories and to share some of their memories.
